Digication is one of several "managed learning environments" or "learning management systems" which are sold to colleges and other institutions for the development and use of e-learning products. The web-based software allows faculties to create and manage course content, as well as share and view student contributions.
Digication was first launched in 2004 at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) for the sharing of rich media works by the students.
The predominant competitors are WebCT and Blackboard Inc.
