The Digital Q1 is a 2 megapixel digital camera. It contains internal flash memory and a xd-card slot, USB port for file transfer. The camera has 3 resolutions, and a function to record compressed, low-resolution video (AVI format). It can be used as webcam via USB port. The DIGITAL Q1 is a low-cost, beginners model, only date and time need to be set. A 16 Mbyte XD-Card is included into the distribution.
[edit] Zoom/Flashlight
There are two zoom systems: one hardware zoom (with little effect, however it turns off the flashlight), and a 4-stage digital zoom. The flashlight is built in, powered by the two AA batteries, it can be switched off.

DCFS/DCIF is used. The camera includes a battery backed clock, time and date are included into the Exif record. Format for the pictures is JPEG, AVI for the video files.

[edit] Adjustments
The Exif record includes the shutter time, which varies much in relation to the brightness situation. There are menu options to adjust brightness (and other) paramters, with little effect, the firmware aligns to a medium result.
[edit] Built-in LCD
The display shows the scenario as it would be pictured. The recorded picture files can be browsed, and transferred from the internal 8 MB flash memory to the xd-card slot. If a card is present while photographing, the card is used for storage. Picture files can be deleted as well. The battery energy level is monitored.
