Talk:Dietary treatments for multiple sclerosis

[edit] Proposed Deletion

The title for this article makes it ripe for abuse by promoters of diets with dubious claims. This issue is already covered in the Therapies for multiple sclerosis article under the Therapies for multiple sclerosis - Nutrition section. This article is more closely monitored by MS experts and less prone to abuse. Furthermore, I created a new stub for Best Bet Diet (multiple sclerosis) as this seems to be a legitimate scientifically studied diet. Both it and the Swank Multiple Sclerosis Diet are already addressed on that page.

I could find no information to support even a speculation that the ultra high fat Optimal Diet has any valid claims to effective treatment of MS and since none is cited here, that info clearly should be deleted.

Overall, I believe the subject is best covered in the much more developed and monitored Therapies for multiple sclerosis page and suggest the this article be deleted. OccamzRazor 01:30, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I generally agree that this is a POV fork and hard to maintain, it's a spam/cruft magnet, and the material is probably better covered in therapies for multiple sclerosis. So I agree with the proposed deletion. MastCell Talk 03:52, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
I precisely moved all this info from the article of therapies to this subarticle to clean the first one of dubious information. I have no problems in deleting it. I agree with deletion. Nevertheless maybe it should also be asked in the multiple sclerosis and therapies for multiple sclerosis talk pages to see what people think. Garrondo 09:02, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
