Can anybody provide somo reference to this version of the story;" Many books assert that the soldier had been told he'd be taken to a lake filled with TaĆno women that he could have sex with, and, once there, he found not women, but men who then proceeded to drown him." I have never heard of this before and have not read a single book with this story and I really wanto to know about it. I will be very pleased if at least someone can cite at least on of those "many books [that] assert" this version.

The reason they (Taino culture; they were not indians; that is an error of great proportions that the navigator committed somo 500 years ago. Error that can be verified once you know the reason for the trip that brought him to these waters and places.) kept him for some days (3) wwas that they did beleive that after 3 days the spirit has left the body, the evidence of that is the stink that emanates from a dead body. You can also see this upon the reason for why Jesus "took so long" for the resurrection of Lazarus. 65.23.232.203 21:24, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
