Dietlinde Turban (born August 27, 1957 in Reutlingen, Germany) is a German actress. Her brother is the violinist Ingolf Turban.
Turban made her acting debut at age 19 at the Residenz Theater, Munich, as Gretchen in a production of Goethe's Faust. Her other stage roles have included Desdemona in Othello.
Turban is married to the conductor Lorin Maazel. They have two sons and a daughter.[1] She took a 15-year break from acting to raise her children, and also helped to launch a private school in the US state of Virginia for acting.
With her brother, Turban has participated in classical music projects.
