Dieter Schatzschneider (born April 26, 1958) is a former German footballer, who holds the record for the highest number of 2.Bundesliga goals (154). He is perhaps most associated with Hannover 96, for whom he is their record goalscorer too.
He played in the 1984 Olympics for the West Germany football team.
Since retiring from playing, he has managed u.a. Emden, SF Ricklingen, Arminia Hannover and SVG Göttingen 07.
