Diet Coke Plus (also known as Coca Cola Light Plus) is a new formulation of Diet Coke fortified with vitamins and minerals. It is sweetened with a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium, unlike regular Diet Coke which only contains aspartame.
The drink is currently available in 20-ounce (591 ml) bottles and 12-ounce (355 ml) cans in the USA or 330 ml 'sleek can' and 1 litre PET bottles in Belgium and Germany. Each 12-ounce (355 ml) serving of Diet Coke Plus provides 25% of the daily value for niacin and vitamins B6 and B12, and 15% for zinc and magnesium. The first ingredient is carbonated water and the second ingredient in Diet Coke Plus is magnesium sulfate.[1]
The flavour is slightly different from regular Diet Coke, the antioxidant Diet Coke Plus is flavored with green tea.
The drink was released in the United Kingdom in October 2007, available in two variants, one with vitamins B3, B12 and vitamin C, and the other containing antioxidants with added green tea and vitamin C. It is only available in 350ml bottles. Although Diet Coke Plus Antioxidants is labelled as sugar free, it actually contains 0.1 grams of sugar in the green tea powder per 100ml. [2][3]
