Diemaco was a Canadian firearms and defence company, based in Kitchener, Ontario.
Its most successful product was the M16A2 rifle, an update of Colt's Manufacturing Company's M16A1. This was the basis of the C7 and its variant, the C8 carbine, which constitute the main infantry weapons of the Canadian Forces.
All small arms used by the Canadian Forces were either manufactured or serviced by Diemaco. In addition, they supplied weapons to the armed forces of the Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and Denmark.
