Diego Klimowicz is an Argentinian football striker of Polish descent. He was born on July 6, 1974, in the city of Quilmes in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Borussia Dortmund of the Fußball-Bundesliga in Germany.

Klimowicz started his career at Intstituto de Córdoba in the Argentine 2nd division in 1993. In 1996 he was sold to Rayo Vallecano of the Spanish Primera but at the end of that first season with the club they were relegated to the 2nd Division. In his second season they finished 8th, failing to regain their place in La Liga, but halfway through, in January 1998 he was sold to Real Valladolid of La Liga, and after only one and a half seasons with the club he returned to Argentina to play for Lanús. In December 2001 he was transferred to VfL Wolfsburg. In May 2007 he joined Borussia Dortmund on a 2 year contract. Diego is the brother of Javier Klimowicz, who plays for the Ecuadorian national team.
