Diego Jiménez Torres Airport (IATA: FAJICAO: TJFAFAA LID: X95) is a public airport located one mile (2 km) northeast of the central business district of the city of Fajardo in Puerto Rico.[1]

Diego Jiménez Torres Airport covers an area of 95 acres (38 ha) which contains one asphalt runway (8/26) measuring 3,600 x 75 ft. (1,097 x 23 m).[1]

For 12-month period ending March 16, 1998, the airport had 14,314 aircraft operations, an average of 39 per day: 90% air taxi and 10% general aviation. There are 5 aircraft based at this airport: 2 single engine, 2 multi engine and 1 ultralight.[1]

The airport is scheduled to shut-down operations on September 2008, because of the new airport in Ceiba ( Jose E. Aponte de La Torre), that is sheduled to begin operations in September 2008. Alongside, the shutdown of Humacao Airport will occur.
