Diego González (born Diego Andrés González Bonetta on November 29, 1990 in Mexico City) is a Mexican singer, actor and musician. He is best known for playing Rocco in the Mexican soap opera Rebelde. He recently recorded his self-titled debut album with his first single, Responde in 2005 and a Brazilian version for the album, with songs in Portuguese was recorded in 2006. At the moment, the album was released in Mexico, Brazil and Chile.

Diego became famous on the reality TV. show, Código F.A.M.A.. He came in 5th place in the American Idol-like show. His participation in the show opened many doors for Diego. His first telenovela was produced by Rosy Ocampo, “Alegrijes y Rebujos”, in which he portrayed the character Ricardo. Despite this role, Diego's career didn't really take off until he was cast in the telenovela “Mision S.O.S” as Christian. For his work as Christian, he was nominated for best actor at the Tvynovelas Awards. He was invited to the United International Pictures to lend his voice to the younger son from the Spencer family in the cartoon Thunderbirds. He participated in many other projects such as the Teletón-Mexico 2003 and the 2004 Athens Olympics. He then went on to record songs for the Mision S.O.S soundtrack. The soundtrack went double platinum and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. Diego released his first song "Aquí Voy" written by Mario Domm. It has become one of the most played songs on the Big Brother 3 and Big Brother VIP program. To prepare for his debut album, Diego took lessons with a professional singer and vocalist named Seth Riggs. Mr. Riggs has worked with many very famous acts, including, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Janet Jackson. Throughout the years, Diego has showcased his singing skills on various telenovelas. However, even as he achieved success as an actor he dreamed of pursuing a singing career. Today, he is signed to EMI Music México. He has already released his first album. He visited Argentina in 2005 to work with producer Cachorro Lopez, who has been the producer for many very successful musicians, including Diego's co-stars, RBD. Diego worked alongside the group in the highly successful telenovela, Rebelde. He played Rocco, a young rebellious teen who is interested only in music (making him very similar to the actor himself). In December 2005 Diego had the opportunity to participate in the Teleton to perform his single, "Solo Existes Tú", one of the songs on his debut album, which he dedicated with lots of love to all his fans. Rebelde ended on June 2 and a movie is in the works. Diego has said that he will not be able to participate in the movie because he will be promoting his debut album.

Diego does not discuss his personal life publicly, and has said repeated number of times he is not looking for a relationship.

Diego's debut album was released in Mexico, Chile and Brazil in the year, 2005. The album will be released in the United States on April 24. The album will be available for digital sale on April 3.[1] The first single, Responde has already made it to #13 on the Mexican charts.

Diego's sophomore album titled Indigo was released on March 25th, 2008, It features the single "Perdido en Ti" and "Losing Me" Produced by Mitch Allan and written by Mitch Allan and Kara DioGuardi. On May 5, 2008, Losing Me and Perdido En Ti became iTune's Free Single of the Week. The song became very popular.
Diego was planning on promoting his album in the US Leg of the Empezar Desde Cero Tour 2008 with RBD but was replaced by La Nueva Banda Timbiriche.
