[edit] How to add languages to a page?
I want to know how one can work between languages;I'm fluent in Farsi, English and Spanish and there are so many pages in the latter languages that can be translated/rewritten in Farsi. I'd like to give it a try, however i'm not sure exactly where to begin and how to add material to the versions of a page in other languages.
Besides, i'm writing my thesis and that takes away most of my time, so i'm afriad i can't be so active here at the time. Dictionary-worm (talk) 12:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Dictionary-worm! I am Diligent Terrier and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 22:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Commenting on talk pages
When you leave a message on a talk page, you should click the 'new section' button at the top of the page, and that will add a header for you. Anyway, I have added a header to your post on my talk page for now, and I have also adopted you. Let me know if I can help you in any other way. Cheers! - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 22:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Cake
Hope you're still active on Wikipedia! - DiligentTerrier (and friends) has given you a WikiCake! WikiCakes promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cake, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Bon appetit!
Spread the tastiness of cakes by adding {{subst:GiveCake}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

[edit] From your adopter
I'm doing very well. Hope you're doing fine. Wikipedia:WikiProject Interlanguage Links is a good place for you to get involved with. I would recommend becoming a participant. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 22:57, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Reply: Adding languages
I would suggest editing a non-semi-protected article and waiting three days. By then, you should be able to edit semi-protected articles. - DiligentTerrier (and friends) 18:49, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
