- It's a borderline case, because as an academic researcher his record is not as strong as some. But I think, due to being an author of the books Modern Compiler Design and Programming Language Essentials, he may pass WP:PROF #3 ("An academic work may be significant or well known if, for example, it is widely used as a textbook") independently of his work on CVS. If so, a better choice would be to expand the article to say something about that rather than redirecting or leaving it in its current highly stubby state. —David Eppstein (talk) 17:07, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
