Dick Siderowf

Richard L. Siderowf (born 1937) is an American amateur golfer best known for winning the British Amateur twice.
Siderowf was born in New Britain, Connecticut. He attended Duke University.
Siderowf's first British Amateur victory came in 1973, 5 & 3 over Peter H. Moody. His second win came in 1976, on the 37th hole over J.C. Davies. He has won numerous other amateur tournaments including the Canadian Amateur, the Connecticut Amateur five times, the Metropolitan Amateur five times and the Northeast Amateur twice. He has also won the Connecticut Open three times.
Siderowf played on four Walker Cup teams (1969, 1973, 1975, 1977) and was captain of the 1979 team, all winning teams. He also played on two Eisenhower Trophy teams: 1968 and 1976.
Siderowf was inducted into the Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame in 1974,[1] and the Duke Sports Hall of Fame in 1988.[2]
