Dick Knight
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Harry Richard ("Dick") Knight, is an English businessman and football club chairman.
A life-long fan of Brighton & Hove Albion F.C., he took control following the effective ousting by fan pressure of the previous board following their sale of the club's Goldstone Ground to property developers. As of 2005, he owned 375,000 shares in the club's holding company, making him the largest shareholder at 29.61%. Formerly an advertising executive by trade, he is believed to have had some involvement in the "Hello Boys" campaign for Wonderbra, featuring roadside posters of the model Eva Herzigova. He had some involvement in the failed Sporting Options betting exchange, of which fellow Brighton & Hove Albion shareholder Kevin Griffiths was a shareholder.
