Dick Crealy

Dick Crealy was an Australian tennis player most notable for reaching the finals of the Australian Open in 1970 and winning two Grand Slam titles in doubles.

Crealy was born in 1944 and in 1968 he achieved his first serious title at the Australian Open with his fellow countryman and teamate Allan Stone in doubles. In the same year he played mixed double with Billie Jean King. In 1970, Crealy reached the singles finals at same tournament but lost to American player Arthur Ashe in straight sets. In 1974, he won a second Grand Slam Title in doubles, together with New Zealander Onny Parun in the French Open. In 1975, he reached the Singles semifinals of the Australian Open for the second time, although this time he lost to Jimmy Connors. Outside of his own country's Grand Slam Tournament, Crealy played at Roland Garros in 1970 where reached the quarterfinals.
