Dick Bartley, a popular American radio disc jockey since June 21, 1969, hosts several popular syndicated radio shows, including the current American Gold and Rock & Roll’s Greatest Hits since 1991.
Bartley spent the early seventies working in Virginia , mostly in Charlottesville & Lynchburg. By 1978, he was Program Director at then-Adult Contemporary WBBM-FM in Chicago.

- 1982 – 1985: Bartley created, produced and hosted the first live national oldies radio show “Solid Gold Saturday Night” for the RKO Radio Network.
- 1985 – 1988: Produced and hosted “Solid Gold Saturday Night” and “Solid Gold Scrapbook” for the United Stations Radio Network. In January 1988, he was replaced by New York radio personality, Bob Worthington.
- 1988 – 1991: Created, produced and hosted “The Rock & Roll Oldies Show” and “New Gold On CD” for the Westwood One Radio Network. After Bartley left for ABC, “New Gold on CD” would survive on Westwood One, as he was replaced by Mike Harvey, the host of Super Gold.
- 1991 – present: Created, produces and hosts “American Gold” and “Rock & Roll’s Greatest Hits” for the ABC Radio Network; Dick also hosted another show called Yesterday Live, a perspective on 70s music, until 2000.

- Three-time nominee for the National Association of Broadcasters “Marconi Award” for "Network Personality of the Year": 1992, 1993, 1995
- Winner of the 1996 New York International Radio Festival “WorldMedal” for “The Beatles ’95” radio special
- Inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago, Illinois in 2000
