Dick's Picks Volume 12 is the twelfth live album in the Dick's Picks series of releases by the Grateful Dead. It was recorded on June 26, 1974 at the Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island and on June 28, 1974 at the Boston Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. This release contains one of the best China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider combos in the band's history. With a 3 1/2 minute introduction jam and heavy bass riffing by Phil Lesh this version seems to be the king of many other 74' "Jazzy China Riders"
