Dicentra uniflora is a species of flowering plant in Dicentra, the genus containing the bleeding-hearts. Its common names include longhorn steer's head and longhorn bleeding-heart. This perennial wildflower is native to the western United States where it grows in gravelly mountain soils. It is a short bleeding-heart, approaching a maximum height of 10 centimeters. It erects petioles each holding a leaf which is made up of lobed leaflets. The erect stem holds an inflorescence with a single nodding flower. The pink to lavender or white flower has outer curving petals which are flexed back and very long inner petals which protrude far out of the mouth of the flower. The fruit is a capsule just over a centimeter long.
