The other day there was an edit to Alan Oakley by that was pretty obviously yours. It makes a mockery of your so-called retirement, and brings me back to comments I placed here before. It follows on from blatant vandalism to User Talk:Dibo by TheEhinger (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) on Saturday. It's not on, and sails very close to the wind as far as sockpuppetry is concerned.
So... sockpuppetry...
The IP's below have been used, sometimes to make legit edits, sometimes to make edits which are blatant vandalism, but almost all edits show a particular pattern:
- animosity to football (soccer) and affection for rugby league
- animosity towards John O'Neill and Alan Oakley for their supposed dislike of rugby league and promotion of football (soccer) in its stead
- various edits to do with suburbs of the Sutherland Shire of New South Wales
- stereotypical misspellings, like 'commen' and common style of edits and comments on talk pages
All IP's trace back to Telstra Bigpond in NSW. By the similarity of some of the edits I think I'm justified in suspecting it is one person with a broadband account that has a floating IP of some sort (sorry, I'm not up on the technical side of things).
Many edits follow on from your edits in a similar vein - I suspect they are one and the same person. Ditto for TheEhinger (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log).
I'm not really sure exactly what policy is breached as it bears similarity to sockpuppetry but I'm not sure whether it can technically be called that; as there is no ballot manipulation or serious attempt to mislead others into believing that more than one person is at work. But it seems more like you not always logging in when you edit. In particular, of late you claimed to 'retire' but IP's from this domain keep popping up making similar edits.
I wouldn't have noticed but for the fact that I think I know you through the blogosphere and you announced yourself on my talk page and that where you go, edit wars follow, so I started following the contribs, doing little tidy-ups and so on and keeping the pages on my watchlist. Then on my watchlist I kept on seeing familiar but slightly different IP's appearing, and I checked those contribs...
As an aside (and as I mentioned before), when I was making up the list of IP's, I noticed that there were prior users NSWelshman (talk · contribs) and Licinius (talk · contribs) who were permanently blocked for sockpuppetry who had similar editing styles.

All trace back to the same ISP and have been tagged as suspected sockpuppets of Licinius too.
I think maybe you need to make sure you log in when you edit, and be a little careful not to ever give the impression that you're acting as a separate person when you're editing while not logged in. coming back to articles you've already edited on while not logged in will leave a tell-tale IP of 60.225.*.* and you won't be anonymous because I will know who that is.
I'm not reporting you as a sockpuppet, but don't pretend that you're 'retired' when you're not, and don't edit while not logged in and hope nobody will notice.
