Dibamidae is a family of squamates (scaled reptiles), comprising a poorly known group of legless lizards native to Mexico, SE Asia, Indonesia, the Philippine Islands and western New Guinea, found in tropical forests. These lizards have a rigidly fused skull, no pterygoid teeth, reduced eyes, and no external ears. They have only their rear limbs, which are flap-like and used during mating by the male. They are egg-layers.
