Diarmaid Ferriter

Diarmaid Ferriter (born Dublin[1]) is an Irish author, historian, and university lecturer.[2] He has authored several books on the subject of Irish history. Diarmaid attended St. Benildus College in Kilmacud in Dublin. He is an officer in the Reserve Defence Forces of Ireland and a former international pool champion.

Ferriter is a lecturer at St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin City University. He is also the host of What If, a radio programme that broadcasts weekly on RTÉ 1.[3] In 2007, Diarmaid wrote the critically acclaimed biography, 'Judging Dev'. This was an insight into one of Ireland's most influential leaders, Eamon de Valera. [1]
