Diane Setterfield

Diane Setterfield (b. August 22, 1964) is a British author whose debut novel, The Thirteenth Tale, became a New York Times #1 bestseller.[1] It is written in the Gothic tradition, with echoes of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

Before writing, Setterfield studied French Literature at Bristol University and taught at numerous schools as well as privately before leaving academia in the late 90s. She lives in North Yorkshire, England with her husband and four cats, and is currently working on her second novel.[2]
