Diamantino Manuel Fernandes Miranda born in Moita, 3 August 1959), known just by Diamantino as a player, and "Diamantino Miranda" as a manager, was a Portuguese footballer player who most notably played for SL Benfica in midfielder positions. He was one of Benfica's key players during the 1980s, winning several national champion and domestic cup titles. He also played in the UEFA Cup finals in 1983, lost to Anderlecht (0-1 and 1-1). He missed the Champions Cup final in 1988, due to an injury. Benfica also lost, this time to PSV Eindhoven in penalties. He left Benfica in 1989-90, moving to Vitória Setúbal (1990-93) and retiring thereafter.A manager since 1994 (starting at Setúbal), he was appointed second division S.C. Olhanense's manager midway through 2007-08.In May 2008 he was appointed assistant manager for Benfica under Quique Flores.

He had 22 caps,scoring 5 goals for the Portugal national football team, from 18 November 1981, in a 2-1 win over Scotland, in the 1982 World Cup qualifyings, to 11 July 1986, in a 1-3 loss to Morocco (in which he scored), in the 1986 World Cup finals. He was also a squad member at the Euro 1984.
