[edit] Edeskonline
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Edeskonline, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] re Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Edeskonline
I can't. I didn't know that about the magazine; it's available for download so I assumed that it was online only. An error on my part. What you can do is take it to deletion review. Go here: WP:DRV and follow the instructions. You should point out my error and you might want to also argue that 2 Delete comments (including the nominator) versus at least 3 Keep legitimate Keep contents also tends against deletion. You have a chance, although the folks at deletion review are a tough bunch, you must have good arguments. But you have a chance in light of my error. Herostratus 20:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re: Adoption
Hi Dhshah,
I see you're looking to be adopted. I've been around Wikipedia for a while and I can probably answer most questions you might have. I'd be happy to adopt you until you feel you know your way around. Let me know if you'd like my help or if you'd rather wait for a different adopter.
PS, I see from your edit history that you've been finding your way around. If you feel you no longer need adoption you could remove the 'adoptme' box from your user page. Thanks!

- Hi, I'm willing to adopt you if you do need some help. I have replaced your {{adoptme}} with {{adoptoffer}}. If you don't want to take me up on the offer, feel free to revert the template change and wait for somebody else, or delete it if you don't require help at all. I'll watch this page so comment here, or add the adopted/adoptee userboxes as described at WP:ADOPT.
- If you don't require adoption, I'm always available for questions.
- Best wishies,

[edit] Adoption offer
Hi There Dhshah, Yes I would be glad to adopt you. I'm sorry that you waited on the list for so long, the Adopt-a-User program was somewhat inactive for a while but is now becoming more aggressive in reaching out.
I have participated in many AfD debates and done some vandal fighting and lots of editing and I can probably answer any questions you might have. If I can't, I will find someone who can!
I will change the box on your user page to show that I have adopted you and later today I will send you a detailed note about adoption and give you a link to a page where we can have our discusions.
Cheers!--killing sparrows (chirp!) 15:39, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome to the nest!
Hi there DhShah,
I did a review of your edit history, user page and talk page so that I can get to know a little about you and your interests. Here are some comments...
You really are doing a good job here! You almost always use an edit summary when you edit, something that most new users forget to do! You remember to sign your entries on talk pages, and most importantly you are polite and civil when talking to other users, even when you disagree with them. Very important!
I notice that an article you were interested in, Edeskonline, was deleted. I have to say that without looking at the references or the article (since it was deleted I can't see it) that I think the deletion was perhaps not justified, or at least premature. The person who closed the AfD should have relisted it since there were only 2 deletes and several keeps, even if the keeps were new accounts. If you have kept a copy of the article I would like to see it, perhaps I can suggest some ways to get the article reinstated.
I also see that you have an interest in India. I have spent much of the last four years in Nepal and have travelled a little in India. It is a magnificent country, although I find Nepal to be more peaceful and quiet!
I really have nothing to say as far as criticism after reviewing your work here and would be glad to answer any questions you have about AfD's and vandal fighting. I have created a special talk page for us to use here. If you would like, you can tell me a little about yourself and ask any questions that you have on that page. I will put a copy of this edit review there also. You can also go to this page and follow the links to my other adoptee's pages and see their questions and my answers. I am on the US west coast (GMT-8) and am on Wikipedia quite often during the day and late at night.
Glad to be able to give you a hand! killing sparrows (chirp!) 03:56, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 17:30, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikibreak notice
Hi there Dhshah,
I will be on break for a week while travelling to Saint Paul Island, Alaska. I hope all is going well! If you need help while I am offwiki please go to the WP:ADOPT talk page. Cheers!--killing sparrows (chirp!) 17:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
