DHL Delivery Man of the Year Award

DHL Presents the Delivery Man Of The Year Award is an award by Major League Baseball to the best relief pitcher in all of Baseball as voted by the fans. The award was first given in 2005 to New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera. The current winner for the 2007 Award is Jonathan Papelbon of the Boston Red Sox.[1] A monthly version of the award, the DHL Presents the Delivery Man of the Month Award, is also handed out to relievers during the season. Unlike the annual award, which is voted upon by fans, the monthly edition is decided by a four-man panel consisting of Dennis Eckersley, Jerome Holtzman, Rick Sutcliffe and Bob Watson.
