DHL Air Limited is a cargo airline based in Castle Donington, United Kingdom. It operates services on DHL's European network, as well as charters for third parties. Its main base is East Midlands Airport[1].

The company was formed as Elan Air in 1982 and became DHL Air in August 1989. The airline was established in March 2001 and started operations in December 2001, having been awarded its AOC on 30 November 2001.[citation needed]
It is wholly owned by Deutsche Post WorldNet and has 270 employees (at March 2007)[1].
