Dharshini David

Dharshini David, economist and news presenter, was born and raised in London, England. David joined the BBC network in 2000 as a economics and business reporter working on many BBC TV and radio news programmes. She can be seen presenting on BBC News 24 in the United Kingdom, and elsewhere on its international counterpart BBC World. She has also presented for the BBC's current affairs series Panorama, BBC One news and British national radio. She was unveiled in February 2008 as the new broadcasting manager at Tesco's communication unit.[1]
David was educated at the James Allen's Girls' School, often referred to as 'JAGS', in Dulwich, South London, and read Economics at Downing College, University of Cambridge. She has also worked for independent think tank Oxford Economic Forecasting, for the UK's Government Economic Service, and for HSBC Investment Bank in London. She has been presenting World Business Report from New York since July 2006. Her family is originally from Sri Lanka but was born and brought up in London[2][3]. They are of of Tamil origin.[4]
