Dharmadam

Dharmadam is a small village in Kannur District of Kerala, south India. This place is famous for - 100 year old Brenenn Government College and Dharmadam Island.There is a small railway station in Dharmadam where only the local passenger trains stop.

Dharmadam was earlier known as Dharmapattanam and was previously a Buddhist stronghold.

The Dharmadam Island is located 100 metres away from the mainland at Dharmadam.

The beauty of Dharmadam- little tourism activity, so any one can enjoy "Genuine malabar seas", splendid moonlit nights and silent day time. Most of the Kerala's coast line has lost its charm,because of excessive tourism. Dharmadam being 2nd tier place, gives you all of it, un- touched.
