Dharma Drum Mountain (DDM) (Chinese:法鼓山, Hanyu Pinyin: Fa Gu Shan) is an international Buddhist cultural and educational foundation founded by Chan Master Sheng-yen. The international headquarters of this organization are located in New York State, U.S.A. The goals of Dharma Drum are to spread Buddhist teachings and Chan methods so as to contribute towards global efforts of building a better world.
Dharma Drum Mountain is one of the most influential Buddhist organizations in Chinese Buddhism. Its impact on Buddhist circles (in the East and West) and society stems from the vision, charisma, and life experience of Master Sheng-yen.
