Kaliawala Mandir, ( Maa Durga), Bada Shiv Mandir ( Shiva) Shiv Mandir, Mandir Thakurdwara ( Main Market) Hori Maharaj Mandir ( In Memory of Late Shri Hori Maharaj Ji a Hindu activist ) are some famed Mandirs, Jumma Maszid, Pahari Darwaja Maszid, Holy Ied Gaah, Maszid Maniharan, Maszid Kaharan, Sabirwali Maszid are some famed Peer Sahib Muslim pilgrims . Gurudwara Shri Singh Sabha Punjabi colony Dhampur is a well accepted holy Gurudwara in distt. Bijnor where a huge population of Sikhs around Dhampur came to Prayers and other religious Karaz.
The neighboring villages: include Jaitra, Naurangabad, Purana Dhampur, Mohammadpur Sultan (associated with Daaku Sultana), Purana Dhampur and Habibwala.

Nagina Chawk, Post Office, Afghanan, Lohiyan, Khatiyan,Gujratiyan, Bandookchian, Kaharan, Machhli Bazar, Punjabi Colony, Badi Mandi, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Phal Chowk, Pahari Darwaza, badwan, Teacher's Colony, Indira Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Rani Bagh Colony, Station Road, Bandhu Nagar, Netaji Subhash chowk, Maharana Pratap Chowk, Kaliyawala Mandir, Durga Vihar Colony, Satya Raj Colony, Model Town, Zakir Hussain Road, Singh Campus, quila of Anand Dev Chauhan, are some famed localities of the city. Dhampur sugarcane society is also nearby. It is situated just near the sugar mill and is a very greenery area. Society workers live here. The society office is also in this complex. A hostel & farms are opposite the society. The office & staff quarters were the working place of the late Rani phool Kumari

H.H. The governor Of Uttar Pradesh has gazette the Dhampur Maha Yojna (Master Plan) 2004-2021, on 24th June 2006, Dhampur will be a well planned and typical organized city of Uttar Pradesh. By-Pass and public expediencies are proposed in this planning. The S.D.M. The Moghuls were defeated by Rohillas at Dhampur in about 1750.
In 1805 Dhampur was sacked by Pindaris.[2]
Dhampur had 12,046 inhabitants in 1941.
The late Dr. Ameeri Singh and Ch. Kulamani Singh Ji were famous freedom fighters from Dhampur.

One of the largest sugar producers in India, Dhampur Sugar mills, is located here[3]. Setup in 1933, Dhampur Sugar mills is a publicly listed sugar company, who produce the Dhampure brand of sugar products.[4] Dhampur's main economy is based on agriculture, mainly sugarcane, wheat, and paddy. The mango fruits production is also eaxtra augment to Dhampurs economy.

As of 2001 India census[5], Dhampur had a population of 46,855. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Dhampur has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68% and, female literacy is 60%. In Dhampur, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The educational institutions in Dhampur include R.R.S. Vidhya Mandir. K,M.Inter College is oldest Inter Mediate School Of Dhampur , durga Public School, Pushpa Niketan, Priyanka Modern Public School, Saint Marry Convent School{[Hukam Singh}] Three degree colleges are in Dhampur, 01: R.S.M.(PG) College, 02: S.B.D. college and 03:Dhampur Degree college , Late Master Hari Singh ji Chauhan was the founder of R.S.M. Inter college, now known as R.S.M.(Pg.) College Dhampur and still known as the Madan Mohan Malviya of the area.
RSM degree college is only agriculture college of Rohailkhand University.
