Dhamar University (also called Thamar University) is a modern public university located in the city of Dhamar, Yemen. Situated at , it is the biggest university in the country.
The University of Dhamar was inaugurated on 17 June 1996, in order to meet the need for manpower development in the Dhamar Governorate and the surrounding region.
