Coordinates: 26°41′N 85°10′E / 26.68, 85.17 Dhaka is a city and a notified area in Purbi Champaran district in the state of Bihar, India. Dhaka known by a unique unity of Hindu Muslims. In ancient period Dhaka made their key role to stablish Congress in North Bihar. Md Shamim Khan first batch student of Historical Munsi Singh College Motihari also belong from this place. He served almost 40 years in Indian Postal Department, before their retairment in 1991 he worked as Sub Post Master in Dhaka Post Office. Late Motiur Rahman was the young MLA from this constiuency. Before their death he became MP from Rajay Sabha by RJD.

As of 2001 India census[2], Dhaka had a population of 32,618. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Dhaka has an average literacy rate of 38%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 47% and, female literacy is 28%. In Dhaka, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
