[edit] Features
DFX offers the ability to apply or "enhance" 5 different effects. These effects include:
- 3D Surround Sound - Gives the effect of 3D surround with only 2 speakers.
- Fidelity - Enhances clarity.
- Dynamic Boost - Amplifies sound and reduces distortion.
- Hyper Bass - Amplifies Bass.
- Ambience - Adds depth.
The standard DFX plug-in includes presets, both built-in and custom, optimization for different outputs (headphones or speakers), 2 music processing modes and 1 speech mode and a spectrum analyzer.
DFX is also entirely skinnable. These skins can be downloaded from the DFX website or they can be created using a standard image editor, except that it is needed to edit a text file in order to be able to modify the form of it (Freeform skinning).
The free version does not allow for the full use of modifying sound.
