Description

US Department of Defense description: News media from around the world was present to document Capt. Scott F. O'Grady's press conference. Capt. O'Grady's F-16 Fighting Falcon was shot down over Bosnia on June 2, 1995, while he was flying in support of Operation Deny Flight. After 6 days of evasion, he was rescued by US Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, deployed from the USS KEARSAGE (LHD-3).
