[edit] License tagging for Image:Self Portrait v1 02-03-04 Copyright Peter Dewar-Finch.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Self Portrait v1 02-03-04 Copyright Peter Dewar-Finch.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:08, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi, there appears to be some confusion about how your user page works. Please don't create articles about yourself in the main article space (like Peter Dewar-Finch). Especially do not create "cross namespace redirects" between the main article space and your userpage (indicated by the word "User" at the front of the page.) Redirecting your userpage to Living people is the sort of thing that doesn't make any sense in an encyclopedia. Are you, perchance, the only living person represented here? I doubt it. And in general, please avoid writing about yourself. If you are notable enough, others will do it for you. See the following relevant Wikipedia help pages WP:USER & conflict of interest. I believe I have sorted out the mess, moving your userpage back to the correct place and deleting the spurious redirects. Please be more careful in the future and don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions. Cheers. Dina 12:16, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The York Arts Forum 1986-1987
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article The York Arts Forum 1986-1987, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
