Dewi Sartika

Dewi Sartika (born December 4, 1884 in Bandung, died September 11, 1947 in - Tasikmalaya), was the leading figure and pioneer for the education for women in Indonesia. She was acknowledged as a National Hero by the Indonesian government in 1966.
