[edit] Gurumukh Article Copyvio??
Hi Devious Viper,
I noticed that you have marked this article Gurmukh as a copy violation. I have Googled searched three different sentences from different parts of the article & can only find a match on Wikipedia (& its derivatives) and Sikhiwiki. Can you explain which part is taken from www.thesikhencyclopedia.com/ as I cannot gain access via the link: [1] --Hari Singh 12:22, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- Hi. The problem is that the site where the article originates (and where it would seem SikhiWiki lifted it) requires registration to view. The random text I chose was entered into Google, and produced 2 results - wiki and thesikhencyclopaedia. A further check showed SikhiWiki also. Try entering "The gurmukh thus embodies the acme of the personality typology postulated in Sikh thought. The Godfacing man" into Google. You will need to register with the source site to view the full page. Hope this helps. Devious Viper 12:52, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your VandalProof Application
Dear Devious Viper,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that lack of mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. [edit] Islamic Barnstar Award
Please offer your opinion, vote, or whatever about your choice for the image to be used with the Islamic Barnstar Award at the Barnstar proposals page. Although there is consensus for the concept of an Islamic Barnstar Award, some editors would like to change the image for the award. I was just thinking you should be aware of this discussion because you have contributed to Islamic-related articles, received the Islamic Barnstar Award, or have contributed to the Islam-related Wikiprojects, etc.--JuanMuslim 1m 03:00, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

- For the record the tagging and licensing was quite clear. I guess the bots aren't always right, eh? ; ) Devious Viper 21:59, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bernie Tormé
A tag has been placed on Bernie Tormé, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
"Under construction"-type pages aren't really a good idea. Better to wait until there's some content for the page before creating. Fan-1967 16:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- And lo! seconds later the content was there... Delayed only by removing the speedy delete tag, in fact :| But thnx for your vigilance, anyway Devious Viper 21:58, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
