Talk:Developer Express
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
09/092006 20:00 (GMT) - Rory Becker - I am very new at this, so i hope I get this right :). I created this page initially as what I saw as a suitable page to link the pages RefactorPro, CodeRush and DXCore which I also created.
Initially there was very little content. I hope I have understood the original reason for the db-bio tag being added to his page. I have since ammended the page to give account of the achievements (within the industry) of the products which this company has created. I think ( and I hope others agree) that these achievements make the company noteworthy within it's field.

- I've pulled the speedy delete tag, as you are making a good faith effort to turn this into a real article. However, it's still prompted for cleanup. You should probably consult WP:BIO to see if the enterprise in question can meet th general standards of notability there. Good luck!--Pagana 19:05, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Does the reference to RefactorVB on MSDN labelled 2 as I read the page, count towards the citation asked for in the previous sentence. If so should I remove the Fact Tag? How does one do these things? RoryBecker 09:28, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
For general clarity on creating pages.... If I can find published works written about a product, does that qualify said product (pre-supposing that the product is useful in it's own field) might merit a page of it's own. I still feel that due to awards earned in their field that Coderush might deserve a page of it's own. It is very well respected in it's area and I could find good references on the web if that is what is required. RoryBecker 09:31, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
It's seems to me that the citation (RefactorVB on MSDN) might go some way to justifying a page for Refactor.
Sorry for all the questions. I'm trying to learn how best to qualify something. RoryBecker 09:41, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] This article is not in proper form.
This article contains little or nothing about the birth, development, organization, growth or revenues of this company. I'm no lexicographer, and I believe the article is written in food faith, but it reads like spam.
The info given is significant, but more is needed about the origins, ownership, persons involved, etc, in order to make this appear more than an ad.
[edit] This is purely a commercial!!!!
Way to long article about a company that has mainly made it easy for Visual TurboPascal (Delphi in the worst form) to make their cowboycode applications look Office-ish. Where's the critisisms? Th article just goes along merily with praise. My experience with "developing" with DevEx is a lot of God-components that all in all makes it easy for "developers" to make a whole application in the form of a grid. Excel was doing that nicely. And the printing-components are beyond any decency :) They mainly makes printscreen a bit complicated. Sorry for the harshness, but this article was very provocing for me :D I might of course be a very grumpy old man, and terribly wrong, but I'm putting a tag on this one. Do with it as thou willst. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.216.149.190 (talk) 23:59, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
