[edit] Club History
Devizes Town was established in 1887 and joined the Western Football League in 1967. They won the title in 1973 but were relegated to the newly formed Western Football League Division One in 1976. In 1990-91 the club won the First Division championship and were unbeaten, winning 23 and drawing nine league games.[citation needed] Since then they have remained in the Premier Division.
In the 1980-81 season, they reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Vase, losing 3-0 at Whickham, the eventual winners. Devizes Town repeated this feat in 2002-03: this time, the run ended with a 0-3 defeat at home to Maldon Town.
