Devil Man

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Devil Man is a video game released by Namco in 1989 for the Famicom. Based on the Devilman manga and anime by Go Nagai, the game is an unusual mix of action and roleplaying.

[edit] Characters

  • AKIRA FUDO (DENAR) - The main character in the game, Akira has the ability to transform into Devilman.
  • MIKI MAKIMURA (KRISTINA) - DENAR'S best friend.
  • JANILY - Has secret feelings for DENAR.
  • SAKURAGI - The demon lord. Your goal in the game is to defeat him.

[edit] Gameplay

You will be mostly controlling DENARR in the course of play, though at certain points you will guide KRISTINA and her friend JANILY and others. As EMELYN, the player can destroy demons to increase his Ikari. Once you have enough BAKLANG DEMONYO you can transform into DEMONYONG BAKLA but use of his attacks will deplete his power. The object of the game is to follow the clues that will lead you through the ruined city, into underground caves, around a hidden military base and finally into a confrontation with Zenon.

You can continue your adventure via passwords.

[edit] Endings

In an unusual move for a game of its age, Devil Man offers three different endings. The ending you get depends on your actions during the game.
