Developer Express

Developer Express is a software development company based in the United States. It produces coding assistance tools and components for Borland Delphi, C++ Builder and Microsoft Visual Studio developers. The major part of their product line is VCL, .NET Windows Forms and ASP.NET components that replicate the UI of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.

Developer Express has won many awards in the industry for its products.[1]

2000 - ExpressWeb Framework - a Delphi-C++Builder framework for building web applications. Inspired by the Microsoft's ASP.NET technology.

2000 - Eagle Software acquisition. Delphi-C++Builder coding assistance tools are added to the product line.

2002 - First .NET Windows Forms components

2003 - Reporing platform for .NET developers

2003 - First ASP.NET controls

2004 - Coding assistance and refactoring tools for Visual Studio developers

2005 - XPO - Object-Relational Mapping tool for .NET developers

2007 - ASP.NET controls completely re-designed based on the framework's second version

2007 - eXpressApp Framework - a framework for building data-aware applications based on XPO and DevExpress visual components
