Devdas (Hindi: देवदास, Urdu: دیوداس) is a 1936 film based on the Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novella, Devdas. Directed by P.C. Barua, it stars K.L. Saigal as Devdas and Jamuna as Parvati (Paro). Of Barua's two versions, this was the popular one throughout India.
