Devarakonda Vittal Rao (born 14 November 1947) is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Mahabubnagar constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party.
His family runs successful educational institutes which include an engineering college known as DVR College Of Engineering and technology also an MBA, MCA and Fashion technology college.
BACKGROUND:
Hailing from a poor family he has rose to a respectable level in the society. His father Sayappa being a herbal doctor in a remote village called LAGACHARLA in Mahbubnagar District of Andhra Pradesh and mother Thimamma a house wife supported him in all ways to complete his higher education. His early interest in serving people has motivated him to join politics, thats when he joined congress party. He completed his B.A. and was also served as a student leader then.
Gradually through time he moved up ranks from Joint secretary to Treasurer of APCC to Member of Indian parliament.

Known as one of most LOW PROFILED and NON-CORRUPTIVE leader in the congress party
Known for his philanthropist acts, paying up for the education of poor students, providing jobs to the needy.
