[edit] Introduction

[edit] Disclaimer

Any questionable/dubious statements or actions on my part are solely for social experimentation purposes (i.e. studying various user-to-user behavior dynamics, facets of the inhibition effect, HCI dynamics, etc.). This is not a well-concocted excuse meant to avoid the fundamental "laws" of Wikipedia, but I'd be flattered if people thought that way. If anything, what I do and say is under the aegis of "academic business in progress." Nothing personal if you feel offended by my "long-winded" arguments. However, please be realistic and do not expect either myself or anyone else on the World Wide Web to take anything "personally."

Yes, I have a Greek bias (surprise, surprise). Yes, I am aware of all the pros and cons involved. However, I would prefer to know myself rather than be ashamed of my identity while adhering to pointless hypocritical notions of "political correctness." Such statements on my part should not be construed as being derived from any specific aspect of the political spectrum. I do not care much about political ideologies since they shift and are not always in tandem with ethnic, cultural, religious or even civic ideologies. Therefore, referring to me (or my statements) as "fascist," "communist," "right-wing," "left-wing," "center-right" "center-left," etc. will only reinforce the inherent futility in developing and using pathetically essentialized dime-a-dozen concepts that fail to reflect my (and anyone's) intentions and purposes here.

Note: All social experiments were finished months ago. Calculating new parameters.

[edit] Paradigm shifts

Just remember that administrators are only good at "hitting" regular users (usually violating good faith policies while pretending to be "upholding" Wikipedia policies). If you are a novice user by any chance, then administrators will most likely associate you with some random "disruptive user" and beat you into submission (in order to bypass the possibility that they could be violating WP:BITE). Forecast for 2009 will be a three-month ban for some miscellaneous "POV charges". Can't wait.

[edit] Barnstars

My "rank" on Wikipedia is Veteran II (since I contributed over 22,000 edits over the course of 2.5 years). This barnstar is not an emblem of honor, but rather serves to remind me of how much I loathe the "Eight Sins of Wikipedia." Nevertheless, I will continue to contribute here until I reach the highest "rank" (as if such an endeavor means anything in the real world).

Before, I stated that I never was able to "earn" a barnstar let alone a "smile". In an ironic twist of fate, I actually received one barnstar. I admit that it is the best and greatest barnstar of all (from a Grecian as true as the "Cross, White and Blue"). Now, I just received another barnstar after having been released from my ban. This community makes about as much sense as a clinic that treats patients for schizophrenia.

The Barnstar of WPGreece
I, Yannismarou, award you this barnstar you definitely deserve for your devotion to the showcase section of the WP:GREECE. Keep on the good work! We need you!--Yannismarou (talk) 19:21, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
The Minor Barnstar
Thanks for all your work on wiki! Even if it is not always huge, your continued effort goes along way in developing the community. Keep it up! Angelic Raiment (talk) 19:12, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Advice

For any novice users who happen to read this, I have the following advice to impart to you. First, do your research before you submit an article. However, do not expect your article to last very long if an administrator decides to ban you or begin a discussion to have your article potentially erased. Second, don't take anything personally (unless you are toying with someone for the sake of social experimentation) since it is ultimately a waste of time, discussion space, and bandwidth. Third, do not put 100% of your trust in a Wikipedia article. Sometimes, it is better to do your own research and find out for yourself the facts pertaining to whatever topic you are interested in. Fourth, forget "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" here. If you get banned while working hard on your articles, then expect to be psychologically dead, enslaved, and miserable. Of course, I don't recommend anyone to feel that way since emotions here are somewhat useless. Realistically, you cannot honestly tell if someone is happy, sad, etc. based on a severe lack of face-to-face communication. Emoticons do not count for expressing real emotions. Those who beg to differ need to spend some time outside. Finally, do not believe that your contributions are "freeing the knowledge of the world" since you do not know whether the knowledge you have left behind will be embraced or rejected in the long-run. The phrase is just clever advertising and nothing more.

[edit] The End?

I sort of expect by the year 2010 (or even earlier) to be permanently banned from Wikipedia. Some self-righteous administrator will miss the point about my contributions, despise my social experiments and ultimately ban me. Hopefully by that time, all of my social experiments will be complete. If not, then I could always extend the date. All in all, it is something to look forward to.

[edit] New Articles

I have written a total of 414 articles since 2005 (I know, "big deal"). This number includes articles that eventually merged into larger pages and even the articles that have been redirected. Yes, I am aware of the fact that a large portion of these articles are stubs. However, they will not be stubs forever.
