[edit] Image:Gore_Shriek.jpg listed for deletion
If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — coelacan — 22:48, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[edit] Greg Capullo page
Hey. I noticed you had a reall heavy hand in the Greg Capullo article, so I thought I'd let you know that alot of the images uploaded there violate Wikipedia's Fair Use policies, and will have to be deleted unless taken care of. So, instead of going crazy and deleting them myself, I thought I'd give you a heads up so that you can hopefully fix things before anything to drastic happens. So, here's my advice:
- Alot of the images are decorative in nature. Unless specifically mentioned or related directly to the text, we can't have copyrighted images. So, right off hand, the Quasar image should go.
- The images by Capullo's influences have gotta go as well. It's a page about Capullo, and therefore should only have images directly related to the man himself.
- All images need to have Source information and a Fair Use rationale. Take a look at Image:Spawn Classic.jpg for a good example.
- All of the images there seem to have been deceptively tagged. You mean to tell me you are the author of images by 6 different artists? This tag might be more useful to you: {{Non-free comic}}.
- If you're going to add images to a page, why not use images already uploaded? Check out Spawn (comics) or other related pages that might already have appropriate images on them. Image:Spawn Classic.jpg, for examples, would be very appropriate on this page.
Take it or leave it, but I guarantee you the images will be deleted if something isn't done. If you need help with anything let me know. I'll check back in a while to check and see if anything is improved. Thanks! Drewcifer3000 09:22, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
