- I saw your user page first because someone mentioned it on the noticeboard. From there, I chose to watch your page in case you decided to reinsert the images (just know about this from habit) and now, we are here. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 22:21, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

- First, please don't rearrange the comments. It is very confusing when you do that. The style is that comments should be in chronological order from top to bottom. Second, is there a reason why you mentioned User:Anger22? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:50, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Guitarists newsletter
The WikiProject Guitarists Newsletter |
|
Hello all! Time for the next installment of the WikiProject Guitarists newsletter. I recently went through and trimmed the member list again to remove inactive participants. I haven't been too active recently because I'm finishing a Master's degree but I'll have some more free time coming up. I will probably spend some time cleaning up equipment articles since many of them read like adverts or contain no useful information. We have a lot of great people working on the project, including professional guitarists and even luthiers. We have the potential to write a lot of great articles. If you are looking for something to do, see the open tasks on the main project page or see the column to the right for specific suggestions. --Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 23:30, 18 December 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Image Stupid.mid
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Image Stupid.mid. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Tags
Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Wikipedia is not MySpace
Feel free to create a MySpace for your band, but Wikipedia is not MySpace. And neither do we use article space templates in user space. If you continue to create advertisements for your band on your user page, it may be protected form editing and you may be blocked for disruption. Please don't. You have virtually no edits to articles, and the community's patience with people who do nothing to build the encyclopaedia is not endless. [edit] Speedy deletion of DEATHOCALYPSE
A tag has been placed on DEATHOCALYPSE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --omtay38 22:46, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Hello. Can you tell me what you are trying to do with DEATHOCALYPSE? If you just want to experiment, you might want to try editing in the Wikipedia:Sandpit, which exists for just that purpose. -- Karada (talk) 22:48, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

- Nope. You've been using it for advertising, and you have virtually no edits to the encyclopaedia to offset this self-promotion, which you've been repeatedly asked to stop. Game over, I'm afraid. Try MySpace. Guy (Help!) 22:11, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Please contribute
Hi. I'm not sure you've fully grasped what Wikipedia is for, and what we're all about here. First and foremost, this project is here to build and maintain an encyclopedia.
This site isn't designed or constructed for the purpose of meeting or chatting with people, nor is it a scratchpad for one's personal writing projects, nor for promoting oneself. If you can't find a way to contribute productively to the project, it may be that Wikipedia isn't right for you – at least, not at the moment – and you may be asked to leave. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 01:51, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Polite Suggestion
Guy is dealing with real life issues right now. Please stop posting messages to his talk page. Given the circumstances, reposting messages on his talk is inappropriate. Find another admin if you have issues you need resolved. Thank you. ATren (talk) 05:53, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- User:Dethzone/SANDBOX needs a lot of work. For one, what is the band's name? And two, it doesn't appear to meet the notability criteria set out in WP:MUSIC. Please look over it and see if the band meets that criteria. hbdragon88 (talk) 06:20, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia isn't your personal scratch pad
Dethzone, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia project. It seems that the vast, vast majority of your edits here are to your personal writing projects, and that you're not really interested in contributing to our encyclopedia.
I've protected your scratch page for the next 48 hours. After that, it may be deleted. There are many web sites out there that offer free wiki hosting; you can find several using Google (try searching for 'free wiki' or the like). I urge you to move your personal projects to one of those sites. If, in the future, you'd like to add something to this project, you're more than welcome. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 00:26, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Ten. None of this encyclopedic. This doesn't mean it's bad, it just doesn't belong here. Even your grammar is... how shall I say it... creative. Why don't you go to www.blogger.com and open a free blog account, and there you can write poetic fiction to your heart's content. And you can even have your blog indexed at search engines like Google and Technorati.
This is not to say you are not welcome here, but if you choose to stay you should contribute according to the rules here - only factual, sourced information, no fiction or unsourced facts, and standard English grammar/usage/spelling. In other words, the fictional poetic content in your sandbox is completely inappropriate and will be removed. Again, I stress, this is not a condemnation of any of your work, but it just doesn't belong here. Blogger.com would be perfect for it. ATren (talk) 01:52, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked
In addition to showing no interest in contributing to the encylopedia, in the last few days you've also created a sockpuppet account (Tucker1012 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log)) and vandalized a dab page ([1]). Consequently, I have blocked you from further editing on Wikipedia.
I've blanked (but not deleted) your user page and sandbox; if there is any content that you want to retain from those pages you can get to it by clicking on the history tab at the top of the blank page.
I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours, and if – in a year or two – you feel like contributing to our project, you will be welcome. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 17:27, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
