[edit] Owner

Ravi Shankar is not the owner of the team. William Clay Ford is. who was the owner before ford —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.231.133.169 (talk) 03:24, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Silverdome

Shouldn't "Silverdome" be linked? There is an existing article on it.

you need to add the new field, ford field(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Field)...and talk about how the next superbowl is being hosted there.

[edit] Improvement drive

National Football League is currently a candidate on WP:IDRIVE. Vote for it if you are interested in contributing.--Fenice 20:04, 16 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The Years of Millen

I think someone should make a section that talks about the Millen years :)

The Millen Regime should be added. I second the motion.

I know this is out of the blue, but I have to say this... Lions = Embarassment. Tis why I'm a Jags fan.

[edit] Barry Sanders?

How can this article not mention the most famous Lion ever?

Is the comment about Barry leaving a hole that may never be filled at the end of the 1990s section really encyclopedic? BlubboSaggins 16:21, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Hole is now filled by Kevin Smith! Long live 24K —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.176.250.253 (talk) 21:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Not to be forgotten

Those in the "not to be forgotten" category are going to be forgotten pretty soon unless someone starts some articles on them! Hope some Lions' fans can oblige. Thanks.

[edit] Detroit Lions are in The NFL?

Are they in the NFL or the AFC? I think there in the NFL bbut my frend ses there are in the AFC? I just wamted to npo becuase we are betting on it!

Err, they are technically in the NFC, but that's kind of in name only. I'd hate to see them play USC.

[edit] DEFENSE

what is up with the linemens defense.none of the linemen can protect the quarterback. When i watch the game all i see is sack after sack. What is bacuss and the rest of them doing.will the lions ever be good again?I bet that michigan could beat the lions and thats sad.almost everybody on the team sucks and they probloby will not improve.the lions used to be good and now they suck.they have nothing to be proud of.they cant even get 5 wins.the lions need almot a whole new team. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 204.39.49.180 (talk) 14:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Reversion of 02-28-2007

This page has been deluged with vandalism over the last few days, and in an effort to remove a lot of nonsense, I believe I have also removed several positive contributions, especially in the "notable alumni" section. My apologies to regular page contributors but the vandalism was a bit too messy to pick through, and I think the damage is minor and easily repaired. Good luck keeping the page clean.--Son of Somebody 02:14, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New link for external link section

I would like to see the url [1] added to the external links section of this page. This site offers an online petition to fire millen (which is quarterly submitted to all manor of sporting news companies and the Detroit Lions franchise), A very nice forum area for Detroit Fans, and up to date news articles about Detroit football. Thank you--Hankphone 22:50, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Calvin Johnson

Calvin Johnson is listed first on the depth chart over Mike Furrey for the right side. At this point that is completely speculation as next years depth chart has not been set. For the time being Furrey should remain listed as the number one guy on the right side. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheGoogler (talkcontribs) 20:30, 28 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Lions1000.png

Image:Lions1000.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
