I think this image is wrong in its current version: (c + d)(a + b) - 2da - ca - bd = bc - ad, not ad - bc

to get ad - bc, a and b have to switch places, so do c and d. --Abdull 16:44, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

the area is given as | ad - bc |, so is unchanged by swapping ad and bc. This makes sense as although the wedge product is antisymmetric the area is always positive, so the order doesn't matter. JohnBlackburne 22:03, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
