I, Robert Paul Chase, made this picture illustrating the geometrical interpretation of the determinant function from linear algebra using The Gimp2 and I release this image to the public domain. It depicts the area of a parallelogram with vertices (a,b) (c,d). Rpchase 21:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
